Is Your Cab Light On?

25. May 2010 by Michelle 0 Comments

Nancy Slotnick was single once. Admittedly clueless about dating, she thought she would never find the right man. However, when she did marry her perfect match over 10 years ago, she vowed to dedicate her life to giving women the guidance they need to do the same.

Her first venture was the development of Drip, a coffee bar / cocktail lounge / dating service where singles can receive advice and meet for dates. Next, she created Cablight, a brand which offers a range of services and products in the area of love life management. The idea came to Nancy as she was hailing a cab in New York City one day. What if a cab driver's light was not on? No one would be hailing his cab. She saw this situation as a metaphor for dating. If he just turns on his cablight, he'll have plenty of potential fares fighting for his attention.

Turning your cablight on means letting men know you are available. One of the tips she shares on her website is to smile with your eyes, while looking vulnerable and sultry at the same time. Another tip is to initiate conversations with men, showing you're confident and intelligent. But be careful. The number one mistake that single woman make is being too aggressive or too passive. It may take a lot of practice learning how to be proactive and approachable, yet subtle and alluring.

Detailed advice and guidance is available in Nancy's book "Turn Your Cablight On: Get Your Dream Man in 6 Months or Less", plus she's working on a new television show, Cablight Girls! Check out the trailer below!
